Sticking to it...

Well, my goal is to make it to CrossFit three times a week for four weeks. So far, I am on track. I will make it Friday for the third time this week. I will admit, I am sore! Monday and Wednesday WODs were roughly the same, but they were both great total body workouts. I leave for LA on Sunday, but there is CrossFit Sunset (http://www.crossfitsunset.com/home) half a mile from the hotel. My plan is to JOG to CF, and then probably [walk] back. I know that I probably won't be able to jog back, but the idea is there if I am feeling froggy. I am excited. $20/per class for a drop-in, so $60 for while I am there to keep on track with my goal.

I realize that I need to set some short-term goals. Josh and I still have our competition going on, and so far it has been short term, but it's longer than I would like. I don't expect to see results overnight, but I know that in a month I shall see some progress. I give props to Erin for her goal to run some sort of 5k every month! I can understand the desire to have something to work toward month after month. Follow her blog about her weight loss (http://tippingthescale2013.blogspot.com/) and give her some support! Wonderful girl that let herself go. Now she's doing amazing things!

Anyways. I will definitely post photos for all of you of the dresses/outfits/etc that I sport while I am in LA. You won't ever know that I'm a country girl from PA!

   How's everyone's resolutions going?

It's all shits and giggles...

until someone giggles and shits!

Well, I am pretty bummed. I have taken a week off from CrossFit in order to try to give my elbow and ribs time to heal. My elbow was fine, or so I thought, until I threw a Nerf football yesterday. It started to hurt again. It seems fine today, but obviously it hasn't completely healed. I'm sure the two workouts that I did when I got back did not help, but it is frustrating because they aren't healed yet. I assumed that they would be; I was wrong. I feel like crap. I also have eaten like crap this week, so that definitely has contributed to this bloated, disgusting feeling. The good news is that I'm still around the same weight, so it's not like I have gained much. I'm scared for what I will feel like when I do actually try to put on weight. Can anyone give me any suggestions/comments/etc on that? In a few months, I may try to put on 10 lbs, good ones, if I am able to go to the Level 3 class for Combatives. 120 lbs won't cut it for that!

I am ready for the weekend. I am super tired after this week. I cant wait to sleep in tomorrow. I also think I'm going to start tanning to get some color for when I go to LA and for the photo shoot for CrossFit coming up in the next few months. (I told Josh that he doesn't need to, and I'm being a hypocrite.) I won't be getting dark though as I'm sure Josh would try to do. I only just want a kiss of color. Honestly, I'm not too worried about the "skin cancer" thing because I rarely ever get sun as it is. Once in a blue moon shouldn't  be too bad.

I'll have to give you all a sneak peek of the dresses I'll be wearing for the event in LA. I just hope that money wasn't wasted on them; the event may be lame. It makes me nervous, but at least I'll have a hot dress for when I need it, right? I need to work on my abs more though...

Josh, you may be pulling ahead in the contest right now. What's our new end date, by the way?

Update: Progress Photo!

Well, I have realized that I am pretty terrible at this blogging thing! Josh writes in advance. I realize that I love sleep way more than I love writing down my feelings on the internet. Sorry!

I was gone at a military course the 5-17th. The course was the Tactical Combatives Course (aka - Level 2 and React to Man-to-Man Contact). The first week was an intense workout, every day. The warm ups alone kicked everyone's ass! I learned some take downs, some variations to moves, and some boxing. I also won BOTH matches against the same girl, by points. The second match was for bragging rights. We were able to call someone out, and a voice in the crowd rang out "Po and Maloney!" I sunk my head because I was in no condition to, but I began to unlace my boots. This fight was not as interesting as the first one, but I still won. That's all that matters because this match was for bragging rights. Na-na-na-na boo boo! Seriously though, this course was a beast for the first week. I learned a lot! Sadly, I was unable to stick to the diet change that I started, but now that I am home, I plan to go back to my good eating habits. I was jealous when the one Instructor came in with home cook Paleo food every day, and I was eating a boxed lunch of nasty deli sandwiches (I didn't eat the bread) and the PB&J Uncrustables, Friday's chips, apple sauce, chocolate chip cookies, and a juice box. Mmm... NOT! I did eat a shit ton of protein the first week in order to avoid eating so much other shit. I also do not enjoy "bagged eggs" and "Salisbury steak" for breakfast. I avoided the meat and potato choice most mornings. I also only at the meat and veggies at dinner. I did [not] get to CrossFit at all while I was there. I was too beat.
So, here is my "progress" photo from when I was gone. ((Thankfully we have added more time to the competition because neither one of us has close to a six pack, yet!))

I do see some change. I still have the little pouch under the belly button, that thankfully, you all can't see. I can't bring myself to taking a side view photo. I would like to spare myself that embarrassment. Anyways. I will be going to Los Angeles soon, and so I am going to work very hard for the next two weeks in order to insure that I look [smoking] in this new dress that I just bought. (See below.)

Okay, I don't think I can type anymore tonight, so I will just post this since it's past due anyways.

     Have a good night.
